尉天池

( 中国书法家协会顾问 )

尉天池(1936.4-)安徽省砀山县人。中共党员,1960年7月毕业于南京师范学院中文系,1960年9月起,在南京师范学校(今南京师范大学)美术系执教书法,1986年4月晋升为书法教授。曾任日本文部省1986年度特聘书法教授,执教于国立爱知教育大学书法系。1985年起,任硕士学位书法研究生导师、日本书法留学生导师。先后师承沈子善、林散之先生。书学篆、隶、草、楷、行诸体,尤擅行草,书风苍劲浑厚,潇洒豪放,秀逸清奇。书作曾多次参加全国书展和对外交流展。现为中国书法家协会顾问、江苏省书法家协会主席。

人物经历

自1960年年9月为南京师范学院美术系(今南京师大美术学院)首任书法教师起,至今一直从事高等书法教育工作。该校从1960年在全国高校中率先开设书法课程,1983年创办全国高等 师范院校书行书毛泽东词一首
法教师进修班,1985年在全国首建四年制书法专业及1999年成立书法系,其间他起到了创建和主持教学的作用。他于1986年4月晋升为我国第一位书法教授。2013年获得第四届中国书法兰亭奖终身成就奖。
同年,任日本文部省特聘书法教授,时为国立爱知教育大学首席书法教授。现任南京师范大学资深教授、中国书法家协会顾问、江苏省书法家协会主席。
他曾任美术系系主任、江苏省人民代表大会第五、六、七、八次代表,第七、八届常委兼教科文委员会委员。他曾多次出席由我国大陆及香港地区、日本、韩国有关方面主办的国际性书法学术会议及文化论坛。诸如,1986年在日本中部日本书道会及中日新闻社联合主办的“书法学术交流大会”上讲演《当代中国书法发展的趋向》;1987年作为中日著名书法家代表之一,出席“中日书法讨论会暨兰亭笔会”;1997年在香港中文大学主办的“中国书法国际学术会议”上演讲《书法教学散论》;2002年作为文物出版社、南京博物院、南京市博物馆、江苏省书法家协会联合主办的“第五届中国书法史论暨六朝书法国际研讨会”主持人之一,发表学术性的致词;2003年在北京师范大学主办的“启功书法学国际研讨会”上演讲《启功书法试论》;2004年在中华民族文化促进会主办的“2004文化高举论坛”上演讲《中国书法的民族性及国际交流》

人物作品

著作有1965年出版并发行于我国大陆和港、澳、台地区,日本、韩国、新加坡、法国(法文版)的《书法基础知识》等;主编有《于右任书法精品集》、《江苏古代书法研究丛书》(三卷),以及作为第一主编的《中国书法全集·第86卷》等。书法创作成果有《尉天池书法选集》;应日本方面邀请,在名古屋举办的《尉天池名墨展》;有书法作品入选历届全国书法篆刻展;多次应邀为国际性书法展提供作品。他在从事高等书法教育的同时,长期坚持投入群众性的书法活动。在我国掀起书法热潮之前的六十至七十年代末,他奔波于江苏、安徽、浙江、山东、河南、北京、湖南等省市,作了数十次书法讲座。八十年代初江苏省书法家协会、中国书法家协会相继成立后,他更是为书法事业不断付出心力。
