王希奇，1960年7月31日生，辽宁省锦州市人。1984年毕业于鲁迅美术学院教育系，1984年至1990年锦州第一师范学校任美术教师，1990年考入鲁迅美术学院中国画系研究生，1993年获得硕士学位，并于同年留校任教至今。现为鲁迅美术学院油画系第四工作室副教授，中国美术家协会会员，辽宁省青年美术家协会理事。从教多年来，一直致力于中国画﹑油画教学与创作。在“中国美术家通讯”“美苑”“北方美术”等学术刊物上发表过论文；作品曾入选第七届，第八届，第九届全国美展；在第十届全国美展上，作为大型绘画—<赤壁大战>的主创之一，获得金牌。而且，作品多次赴国外团体展出，并曾获得省级美展金奖两次。
