王福阳，河南邓州人。教授、硕士研究生导师。福建省高校教学名师。毕业于福建师范大学艺术系、福建师范大学硕士研究生课程班。现为福建儿童发展职业学院教授、福建师范大学美术学院兼职教授、福建广播电视大学客座教授、杭州师大美术学院美术研究所高级顾问、美国Adobe培训考试中心主任。
系中国美术家协会会员、InSEA国际艺术教育学会会员、中国美术教育研究会会员，人民教育出版社美术教材编研委员，福建省美术教育研究会常务理事，教育部基础教育课程《美术》、《艺术》国家级骨干培训者、福建省基础教育新课程美术学科教师培训专家组负责人，全国中学、小学综合艺术课程培训研修授课专家。曾赴德国、台湾、香港等地进行艺术教育与文化交流。
长期工作在学校教育教学第一线，崇尚以德育人，以美导人，治学严谨。用心致力于艺术创作、教学、理论、艺术批评以及美学和综合艺术等方面研究，探索实践中国艺术教育的改革与发展。
主要教授课程《美学原理》、《艺术概论》、《色彩写生、创作》、《美术教育学》《艺术课程与教学论》等。专长油画、艺术设计、美术教育、形成了自己独特的艺术面貌，在视觉文化艺术研究和教师教育方面做出了较大的贡献。1979年起有30余幅美术作品和文章参加全国、省画展并发表于国内、外报刊、学术杂志。其中油画创作《脚手架》1984年入选第六届全国美术作品展览，《蓝天·白云》1985年入选全国前进中中国青年美术作品展览。
专著《综合艺术课程与教学论》，高等教育出版社出版；专著《绘画色彩学基础教程》，高等教育“十一五”全国规划教材、中国高等院校艺术设计专业系列教材，人民美术出版社出版；专著《海西西岸地域美术课程资源（选学）教材》；编著《绘画透视学基础教程》，高等教育“十一五”全国规划教材、中国高等院校艺术设计专业系列教材，人民美术出版社出版；编著美术院校理论丛书《平面构成教程》，福建教育出版社出版；主编《美术基本功训练》教材、《水彩范画》、《素描范画》，新课程《美术》课本、福建教育出版社新课程《美术》课本。
20多篇论文分别在核心期刊、大学学报、CN等刊物，其中多篇在全国、省级获奖。分别在亚太地区美术教育研讨会（香港）、InSEA亚洲地区会议、海峡两岸闽台地域美术教育研讨会上发言，论文入编会议论文集。负责主持和参与了多项省级A、B类科研课题研究。个人艺术传略被编入《中国现代美术家名人大辞典》、《当代书画篆刻家辞典》、《中国当代美术家名人录》、《福建省文艺家辞典》（美术卷）、《中国知名专家录》、《人民日报》海外版等人物名典。
2008年，作为专业负责人，艺术教育专业被评为“福建省高校精品专业”；作为课程负责人、主讲教师《综合艺术课程与教学论》课程被评为“福建省高校精品课程”；并获学院教学成果一等奖；荣获福建省美术教育先进工作者、福建省先进德育工作者、福建省优秀教育工会工作者、省教育厅“关心支持团工作好领导”等荣誉。?
