杨林桂(1941.5-)江苏江都县人.1958年-1961年在中央美术学院油画系学习绘画，受教于高潮，赵友萍等教授.1961年-1966年在中央美术学院油画系学习油画专业，在第二画室罗工柳教授画室学习，并得到靳尚谊，林岗，李天祥，王征华等教授的指导.其作品强调内涵，意境，强调人与自然之间的共鸣，以强烈，明亮的色彩表达作者对大自然的广阔胸怀，气魄，宁静等奥秘的探索，深得观者的喜爱.现系中国美术家协会会员，油画家，高级美术师.其1967年曾参加的创作，由文化部委托，代表国家送往几内亚，现被收藏，1972年参加大幅油画创作，参加第一届全国美展，多种版本印刷出版，1977年油画创作参加建军50周年展，1978年舞美设计，参加首届全国，首都设计展，获全军会演优秀奖，1980-1990年代，等多幅作品参加北京建国35周年展，北京小型油画展，三人油画写生展等.其中为北京美术家协会收藏，油画创作参加全国全军美展，为中国美术馆收藏，，，，，等多幅作品在日本，新加坡，印尼，科威特等地展出，部分作品被收藏.生平被录入，等多部典集，获"世界书画艺术名人"荣誉称号.
