李建民，江苏宜兴人。师从徐明华教授。2000年公派留学列宾美院。2003年公派留学莫斯科苏里科夫美院，获得硕士学位。现为南京师范大学美院西画系副主任、副教授、油画教研室主任，硕士生导师，中国美术家协会会员，江苏省油画学会常务理事、副秘书长，南京市美协理事。

●1995年获“徐悲鸿奖学金”二等奖。
●1997年《虞美人》入选全国高师油画作品展。
●1998年《绿鹦鹉》获江苏省首届艺术节铜奖。
●1999年《柠檬茶》入选第九届全国美展。
●2000年《女人体》获“北京青年油画人才大选”展览优胜奖，进入俄罗斯列宾美院萨卡洛夫教授工作室。
●2005年《白房子》获第五届江苏省油画展优秀作品奖。
●2006年《赶海归来》获2006中国百家金陵画展（油画）金奖。
●2007年《渔人码头》获第六届江苏省油画展优秀作品奖。
●2008年“感受阳光——李建民油画写生作品展”。作品《彼得堡印象》被南京美术馆收藏。
●2010年《金色海滩》获江苏省第七届小幅油画展优秀奖。
●2011年《五月的风》获“江苏省庆祝建党90周年美术书法作品展”优秀奖。
●2011年《丁香花》入选全国美术教师作品展
