高振美，教授，1940年生，中国陕西省米脂县人。1959年考入中央美术学院油画系，在著名画家董希文工作室学习。1964年毕业后直至1978年，任北京出版社美术编辑。1978年至2001年在中央民族大学美术系任教，为油画专业硕士研究生导师。中国美术家协会会员，中国油画协会团体会员，中国少数民族美术促进会会员。其油画作品多次在国内外参展、发表、获奖和被收藏。1991年曾在中央美术学院画廊举办《高振美油画展》。油画《哈萨克新娘》、《哈萨克姑娘》等在全国民族美术作品展中获优秀奖，油画《逛新城》获全国第三届《民族百花》美术作品展银牌奖等。
出版有学术专著《绘画艺术思维的新空间》、译著《钢笔绘功艺术》和《高振美画集》。
2001年由中国美术家协会、中国少数民族美术促进会授予“民族杰出美术家”荣誉证书。
