倪震，男，1938年7月生于上海，江苏吴县人。教授。硕士研究生导师，中国电影家协会会员，中国电影评论学会会员、理事。
1960年入北京电影学院学习绘画、电影理论、书籍插图。1966年北京电影学院美术系毕业。1980年起在北京电影学院任教。1986年任理论研究室主任。1994年任教授。
教学方面，主要开设的课程有：《电影造型》、《电影叙事》、《影片分析》、《大师研究》、《当代中国电影》等。指导电影叙事、电影叙事和造型、东方电影美学专业方向的硕士研究生。已培养14名硕士研究生。
进行教学工作的同时，亦进行科研写作和创作实践。出版的主要著作有《探索的银幕》、《改革与中国电影》、《北京电影学院物语——第五代电影前史》（日文版）及论文《陈凯歌电影论》载《华语电影十大导演集》；论文《中国古典绘画和电影影像表意》英文译文，收入《CINEMATICLANDSCAPES》文集（德克萨斯大学出版社，1994年出版）；韩文译文收入《-13》（1997年，汉城）；论文《〈黄土地〉之后》英文译文收入《FILMINCONTEMPORARYCHINA》文集（1993年版）。论文《城市电影的文化矛盾》收入台湾时报出版公司出版之《当代华语电影论述》1996；论文《90年代中国农村电影报告》提交1996年香港举行之第一届华语电影学术研讨会。
电影剧本创作有《大红灯笼高高挂》1991，此片获第48届威尼斯电影节银狮奖，第64届美国奥斯卡奖外语片提名；剧本创作还有《红粉》1994，获第45届柏林电影节视觉效果银熊奖；《鸦片战争》1997，与其他人合编，获金鸡奖最佳影片奖、华表奖、“五个一工程”奖。
美术方面作品有《牛虻》插图、油画《导演系女生》等。
曾多次被评为院内优秀教师。1993年获国务院颁发的“政府特殊津贴”。
