张培力，1980-1984年就读于中国美术学院(原浙江美术学院)，2002-就职于中国美术学院张培力ZhangPeili，1957年出生于浙江杭州，1984年毕业于浙江美术学院油画系（现中国美术学院），2002年任教于中国美术学院现居杭州，任中国美术学院新媒体艺术系主任张培力作为“八五”新潮美术运动的活跃艺术家之一，曾参与筹建了重要的“85新空间”展和“池社”等团体，倡导“理性绘画”。1988年他因创作了中国第一件录像作品《30X30》，被称为“中国录像艺术之父”。1995年开始放弃绘画，全力投入录像及相关摄影、装置艺术创作，不仅作品多被纽约现代艺术博物馆、蓬皮杜艺术中心等世界级艺术机构收藏，而且至今还保持着在纽约现代艺术博物馆开个展、三次受邀参加威尼斯双年展的唯一中国艺术家的殊荣。他的录像作品关注于展现人与世界关系的悖论，以隔离而中性的立场，自由和深刻地考虑人与世界的关系，创造出了一个大容量的、综合性的、强有力的艺术体系。同时，他还潜心中国新媒体艺术教育，催生和推动了中国新媒体艺术的发展。第一届艺术与设计大奖赛候选人
