妥木斯

著名油画家，内蒙古师范大学美术系教授，中国美协常务理事，中国油画学会常务理事，内蒙古油画艺委会主任。1984年以来连续载入英国版《世界名人录》。

妥木斯（b.1932），蒙古族，内蒙古土左旗人。油画家，美术教育家。1958年毕业於中央美术学院油画系。1963年毕业於中央美院油画研究班，分配到内蒙古师范大学美术系任教，现为教授。1985年获全国第六届美展银牌奖。1987年获内蒙文艺创作特奖，同时也带动起一批青年画家共同促进“草原画派”的形成。1989年被评为内蒙古自治区优秀教师。1990年获“吴作人国际美术基金会美术教育奖”。1991年享受政府特殊津贴。曾在国内举办过三次个人画展，国外举办过一次个人画展。作品参加80年代以来历次全国性大展，同时也是1984年以来历次全国大展中的油画评委。出版有《妥木斯油画选》、《妥木斯画集》、《妥木斯油画作品选》等个人专集。作品被中国美术馆、中央美术学院、鲁迅美术学院收藏。妥木斯进行油画创作，始终坚持现实主义的艺术道路，多年来探索研究油画的民族化与现代感。他把内蒙草原作为生活基地，积累了大量的生活素材。又从民间剪纸和玩具中吸取营养，造型和色彩趋於拙朴，富有民间味。"

曾在国内举办过三次个人画展，国外举办过一次个人画展，作品在法国、美国、日本、苏联、香港参加过展出，参加八十年代以来历次全国性大展，同时也是1984年以来历次全国大展中的油画评委。作品被中国美术馆、中央美术学院、鲁迅美术学院收藏，也被国内及日本、法国、香港、印尼、台湾、德国等有关人士收藏。

 出版有《妥木斯油画选》、《妥木斯画集》、《妥木斯油画作品选》、《妥木斯油画技法》《妥木斯》等个人专集。
