张颜志，男，满族，1975年参加工作，1979年毕业于河北师范学院（现为河北师范大学）美术系油画专业。分配到承德师范学校从事教学工作，担任教研组长。1983年在首都师范大学美术学院研究生班脱产进修一年。河北美协会员。2001年评为副教授，2010年评为教授。
几十年从事美术教学与教学研究工作，先后主讲过，《素描基础理论》、《设计素描》、《色彩学》、《油画创作》、《速写》、《美术欣赏》（校外大学）、《学生毕业创作》指导等课程；一直担任本科毕业生论文指导，担任论文答辩组组长，在长期的教学实践与研究中有独到的建树与成果；提出了写生教学中充分利用和发挥学生优秀习作的示范作用的观点；在基础素描教学中培养学生创作意识的观点，取得了显著成绩。在省内外具有一定的影响。其中《充分利用和发挥学生优秀习作的示范作用》一文获得全国首届师范学校论文评比二等奖。《创造意识与美术教学》一文荣获河北省音乐、美术教育论文评比一等奖，入选1999年“全国学校艺术教育与素质教育研讨会”大会交流论文。《遵循教学规律，培养学生创造意识》一文被《中国教学研究》编委会评为二等奖。2010年论文《具象绘画的生命——真实的美》在核心期刊《求索》杂志发表。先后多次被评为优秀教师和先进个人。两次被市政府嘉奖。连续两次被评为学院优质课。

在教学之余张颜志教授还勤于绘画创作，涉于版画、水彩画、素描、油画等画种，并取得了突出的成就。2000年有4幅版画作品选入全国职业技术学校美术通用教材，后被用于全国大专学校通用教材（本教材由人民教育出版社）出版。专著《素描作品集》，2010年（河北美术出版社）出版。2003年水彩画《甜蜜的梦》入选“纪念毛泽东同志在延安文艺座谈会上的讲话”发表60周年全国美术作品展览。2009年油画作品《晨》、《早春》，在中文双核心期刊《艺术百家》第3期发表，油画作品《秋》、《桃李街》之三在《艺术百家》第6期发表。油画作品《桃李街》之二入选“庆祝中华人民共和国成立60周年”河北省美术作品展览。2010年油画作品《燕山风光》在核心期刊《艺术百家》第2期发表。2010年7月油画作品《小街风雪》，入选由中国美术家协会主办的“第六界西部大地情——中国画、油画美术作品展览”获优秀作品奖（此奖项为最高奖，全国共29幅作品获奖），并被展览会收藏。获奖情况被承德日报头版报道，承德晚报进行了专题报道。2010年8月油画作品《印度风情》参加“纪念中印建交60周年”绘画作品邀请展，被展览会收藏，并被授予“中印友好艺术家”称号。2011年油画作品《乡村月夜》应邀参加由文化部所属文化活动中心“国韵文华书画院”举办的首届年展，并被收藏、出版大型画册，被聘为专职画家。
