沈粲

沈粲（1379～1453），字民望，号简庵。由其兄沈度举荐而为中书舍人，后官至大理寺少卿，兄弟同以善书得宠，故有“大学士”、“小学士”的美誉。文献称兄弟二人不欲争能，故度主攻楷书，而粲主攻行草，并以此名世，后人有“遒逸”之评。从其存世作品看，点划圆而爽利，渊源似是怀素和康里巎巎，偶尔掺入一二章草，与宋克有一些相似，但无宋克的魄力，有秀气而乏劲力。
       沈粲善书，法宋仲珩。草圣擅一时，真、行皆佳。沈粲书法以遒逸见长，尤工草书，学宋克而参以锺繇情旨，行笔圆熟，意趣遒逸。丰坊《书诀》称其“学宋克而得锺（繇）体，大非其兄所及”。被人们称为“草圣”，名擅一时。他的《梁武帝草书状》笔笔挺劲峭拔，转折峻利 ，通篇章草与今草夹杂，然而自然天成，神情贯注，洒脱奔放。因章草捺脚的率出，形成字字独立，很少连绵，但行气极为流贯。深得明成祖朱棣赏识。王世贞称他为“章法尤精，足称米南宫入室”。
       他博学多才，喜提携后进，品性高逸，不拘小节。晚年，厌楷书，喜行草，得宋仲温、陈文东之三昧。门外求字者常不断，并长于诗，70岁辞官归乡。著有《简庵诗稿》，有诗2000余首，比较著名的书法作品有《千字文卷》、《重建华亭县治记碑》等。
