高尔太(1935.10—)江苏高淳人。擅长美术理论。1955年毕业于江苏师范学院。曾在敦煌文物研究所研究古代艺术，兰州大学哲学系任教。著有《论美》、《中国山水画探源》等。
美学史上关于美学有三种不同的看法，其中一位代表人物就是高尔太。
他认为：美学是研究美感的学科。美感是美学中最复杂的问题，把最复杂的问题搞清楚，其它的问题也都解决了，这种观点也受到了批评，把美感作为美学的研究中心，隧颠倒了物质与精神的关系，先有美的事物后有美的感受，坚持这种观点的是我国的高尔太。
