汉族，北京人。字一云。画室名百花书屋。擅国画。中央工艺美术学院。1934年拜于非闇为师学小写意花鸟及工笔草虫，兼习瘦金体、篆书，后专攻工笔。1937年入故宫古物陈列所国画研究馆临摹研究历代名画，以宋元工笔花鸟为主，兼学画史、画论并研制国画颜料，历时八年。1946年遵于非闇之命至成都大风堂拜张大千为师，1951年回京。1957年任教于中央美术学院，次年调北京艺术学院美术系，1964年调中央工艺美术学院，为教授，1964年为人民大会堂创作巨幅金碧茶花屏风。1971年至1984年为钓鱼台国宾馆绘制巨幅工笔花鸟画。1983年与刘力上为紫光阁绘制巨幅《荷塘清趣》。1984年退休，任中央工艺美院咨询员。中国美术家协会会员，中国老年书画会顾问，中国书画函授大学教授，北京工笔重彩画会副会长，北京花鸟画会名誉会长。擅长工笔花鸟、草虫、蔬果。作品有《沙果双鹊》、《荷花》、《耄耋图》等。出版有《荣宝斋画谱——工笔花卉》、《俞致贞画辑》、《工笔花卉、草虫技法》、《美术画库——工笔花卉技法》(与刘力上合作)、《俞致贞、刘力上画集》等专集、专著。六十年代评为北京市“三八”红旗手。
