王辉1968年出生于江苏宜兴紫砂世家，清华大学美术学院陶瓷艺术系副教授，工艺美术师。穿着干练利落，说话不急不缓，用他自己的话说，“平和”二字是他个性最好的表达。举手投足之间，透着含蓄淡雅的学者范儿，就像他的紫砂作品，耐人寻味。王辉生于宜兴丁山，长于宜兴丁山，在紫砂厂长大，幼时家住丁山南街，与顾景舟、汪寅仙、徐汉堂等紫砂大家为邻，七旬老母至今还每天做壶不辍，耳濡目染，打下了他今天紫砂成就的基础。
