石东义，笔名石寅。1962年出生于甘肃临洮。1981年入伍，现为中国美术家协会会员，兰州军区美术书法研究院专职画家。先后毕业就读于西安政治学院和中国艺术研究院研究生院、中国美术创作院首届中国花鸟画创研班，师从郭怡孮先生。出版有《石东义花鸟画作品集》、《名家·心象——花鸟画名家石东义》、《石东义花鸟画艺术》等专著。作品《走出草地》获纪念红军长征胜利七十周年全国美术书法大展金奖；《此君昂然》获第二届中国芮城国际书画艺术节百佳奖（最高奖）；《新篁》获第三届中国当代著名花鸟画家作品展三等奖；《美人蕉》获第六届传统与现代——中国画名家提名展优秀作品奖；《秋声》入选2008年中国画大展；《三君图》入选世界华人庆奥运名家书画大展；《蕉园一隅》入选第十六届“亚运当代艺术展”等。《蝶恋花》、《牵牛花》曾先后在2010年翰海春季（68期）、冬季（70期）中国当代书画专场拍卖中成功拍出。书法作品入选《中国书法全集》。论文《大花鸟艺术与文人水墨画风格》入选并发表于《首届国际书画艺术发展论坛文集》中。部分作品发表于《美术报》（专版）、《中国书画报》（专版）、《中国收藏》等多家专业报刊。
