郭俊生1955年出生于山西太原，祖籍山西省交口县，毕业于山西大学艺术系美术专业。现为中国美术家协会会员，山西省美术家协会理事，山西省山水画艺委会副会长，山西画院专业画家。
作品多次参加全国美展并获奖，入编多种典籍、画册。
近年来，潜心于中国山水画，画风追求沉厚华滋、苍茫浑朴一格。因心造境，重意象，求格调，使笔墨语言更具精神气质和文化内涵。在继承掌握传统笔墨功力的基础上，通过与生活感受之间的反复观照，寻找现代语境的自我表达。
