名号丹池，堂号荆溪草堂。江苏省宜兴丁山人。结业于中国美术学院，擅长山水。现为中国国家画院范扬工作室画家，文化部中国美术创作基地专职画家兼外联部主任，江苏省国画院特聘画家，中国美术家协会江苏分会会员，江苏省徐悲鸿研究会理事，中国田园画会常务理事，中国画创作中心一级美术师。作品多次入选由文化部、中国美协主办的全国性美展并有获奖。“新作品入选第七届全国体育美展”等。曾获中国山水四百家大赛创新奖，同时荣获“优秀人民艺术家”称号。多幅作品被中国国家博物馆、安徽省美协、亚明艺术馆、中央电视台以及省市美术馆和海内外人士收藏。曾在印度尼西亚、马来西亚及国内多次举办个展。全国发行的有人民美术出版社《当代中国画精品集》、北京工艺美术出版社《中国当代画坛著名画家精品荟萃》《杭中吉写意山水》，中华人民共和国日史编辑委员会60年中华名家翰墨典藏等作品集。《中国书画报》、《美术报》、《现代书画报》等多家报刊及电视台予以专题报道并拍摄专题片。艺术传略入编《百年中国名家大典》等。
