张军，又名末子，当代山水画家，一九五○年生于南京，师从周韶华先生，后就读湖北美术学院。
现为湖北省美术院美术馆馆长，国家一级美术师，中国美术家协会会员。湖北省美术家协会理事，武汉市文史馆馆员，曾任十堰美协主席，武当画院院长，其作品多次入选全国美展，并有部分获奖作品。
《除夕图》参加六届全国美展评为优秀作品，被中国美术馆收藏。
参加过武汉国际水墨画节，二、三、四届山水画展，获两次铜奖，中国山水画名家邀请展，第十一届新人新作展，跨世纪暨建国五十周年山水画大展，《三峡史诗》巨幅通景画九位创作者之一，中国扇面画展，画说世界遗产28巨幅作品并被国家博物馆收藏。第二届全国画院双年展，参加国家重大历史题材美术工程——大坝合拢的创作任务。
1997年随湖北省美术家代表团访问美国、作品获旧金山文化贡献奖。荷兰哥罗宁根国际文化交流大奖，首届欧洲中国艺术大展，赴日本中国画展等，2000年由人民美术出版社，辽宁美术出版社出版《张军画展》，湖北省名家作品集，台湾出版《国画名家百幅集》，《神农故居》入选中国现代山水画集，被广东美术馆收藏。湖北电视台做专题(魂系武当——画家张军)。
多年来作品常被海外多家艺术机构及知名人士收藏。
