杜玉曦，1937年生。山西岢岚人。擅国画。1955年毕业于太原第一师范。历任山西美术创作组、美协山西分会、省美术院美术创作员，山西太原画院专职画家，一级美术师。中国美术家协会会员，山西省美协理事，中国工笔画学会理事，山西省文史馆馆员，山西省第八届人大代表。享受政府特殊津贴。作品《朱总司令和儿童》获第六届全国美展年画铜奖，《隆冬时节》获全国“中华杯”中国画大奖赛二等奖，《金色九月》、《绿色希望》分获全国工笔画第二、三届大展优秀奖、佳作奖，《田园青青》获第八届全国美展优秀作品奖，《黄河颂》、《隆冬时节》等多件作品为国家机构收藏。许多作品被北京人民大会堂、中国画研究院、中国美协、台湾必加索画廊、美国南海艺术中心和新加坡万里艺术中心等中外艺术机构、画廊及收藏家收藏。400余件作品在国内外出版发表，其中多件被选入全国及国际美展作品集。作品40余件先后40次入展第四、六、七、八、九、十届全国美展，第一、二、三、五届全国工笔画大展，第三、四、六届全国年画展，纪念延安文艺座谈会讲话30、50周年、建党60、70周年、纪念毛泽东诞辰85周年全国美展，中国画研究院首届作品展、人物画专题展，全国第二届新人新作展，全国首届山水画展，中华杯·全国中国画大奖赛作品展，情系西部·全国中国画展，迎接新世纪中国工笔画展，世界华人书画作品展等.先后有400余件作品发表于《美术》、《中国画》等专业刊物以及《人民日报》、《工人日报》、香港《文汇报》等多种报刊；国内、国际多种“画集”或“作品选”以及30余部典籍辞书都收录了他的作品或艺迹。2001年在新西兰举办的“杜玉曦中国工笔画展”非常成功，反应强烈，数十件作品被高价购藏。
自幼酷爱绘画，后潜心研学，遍访名师，深得山西老一辈艺术家及潘洁兹先生等全国名家指点，终而专事国画，尤其在现代工笔画方便取得一定成就。在从事美术创作与研究的40余年里，逐渐形成画法严谨，传统功力深厚、意境清新典雅，生活气息浓朴的风格。其作品32年29件入选4-9届全国美展，1-5届中国工笔画大展及专题性、纪念性国级美术大展。
