高孝民，生于上海，毕业于上海大学美术学院。自小酷爱绘画，兼修武术，曾任上海市江东武术协会会长，上海市武术协会会员。青年时期曾涉笔多种绘画艺术创作，从事美术教育和武术教练工作。擅国画，版画，油画及中国武术，尤擅国画山水。师承当代著名画家林曦明先生数十年笔墨耕耘不辍，将中国文化的传统精神一气贯通，大气磅礴，是当代少有之文武兼修的艺术家。

作品多次参加上海市及全国展览并获奖，两次举办个人画展，上海电视台海外台，上海教育电视台分别作过专题报道。出版画册有《名家精品》系列丛书第一辑《高孝明山水画》，《海派书画》高孝明中国画专辑等。
