王纯生，天津市人。1986年毕业于天津美术学院。现为中国艺术教育促进会会员、中国美术家协会天津分会会员、湘西中国画学术研究中心常务理事、中国西部书画院常务副院长、新华社新华书画院特聘画家。
王纯生的画以小写意花鸟画为主。他的作品继承了院体画的严谨，又不失文人画的清逸洒脱，他的作品明净柔和、格调高雅，追求一种浓淡有致、滋润空灵的风格，他对一草一木、一花一鸟都观察入微，以严谨的结构描绘花鸟世界的空灵蕴藉。
