王雪蕉，女，又名王贻鼎，1929年4月生于江苏省吴江盛泽一个书香门第，擅长国画。祖父王彦人是清代海派名家倪田的入室弟子。王雪蕉自幼受家庭熏陶，喜爱画画，并练就了一笔娟秀的书法。
自1943年开始学画，师从朱乐余、郑怀桥先生学画花鸟、人物及山水。1946年拜在上海著名画家吴青霞为师，刻苦学习，艺事大进。1948年她的作品《葬花图》被收入上海《美术年鉴》。
1958年至1965年投师北京著名人物画家王叔晖、吴一舸先生学画工笔仕女，后又得到著名画家、美术理论家潘絜兹先生指导，1979年作品《瑶姬献寿图》参加建国三十周年画展，1990年作《鱼水情深》被天安门楼珍藏。作品曾多次参加上海、北京等地及美国、日本、马来西亚、新加坡等国展览。1994年在北京举办个人画展。出版有《金鱼》、《小写意花鸟画法》、《画扇》以及2003年荣宝斋出版的《王雪蕉画集》和2005年荣宝斋出版的国画技法丛书《鱼》等著作，作品还有《燕归来》、《年丰鱼肥》等。
曾在第一机械工业部机械科学研究院工作。1989年执教于中国铁路老年大学。现为中国美术家协会会员、北京工笔重色彩画会员、北京中山书画社理事。她的名字被收入《中国妇女名人录》及《中国现代美术家人名大辞典》。
