张凤祥，1958年出生于青岛，2008年结业于中国国家画院花鸟画邢少臣工作室，中国美术家协会会员、中国国画家协会理事、中国致公党党员、青岛报业传媒集团新闻书画院艺术顾问。现就读于中国国家画院吴悦石工作室，为吴悦石入室弟子。2006年《扇面》获中国美协纪念中国美术大师李苦禅艺术馆开馆暨全国中国画提名展优秀奖；2006年《又是一秋色》入选中国美协2006全国中国画作品展；2007年《江南五月风》入选中美协中国画艺委会第三届全国中国画展；2007年《秋意》入选中国美协2007全国中国画作品展；2007年《老秋》获中国美协《首届“草原情”全国中国画提名展》优秀奖；2008年参加《海之情》2008中国画名家邀请展；2008年《雨霁》参加中国国家画院高研班毕业作品展并被收藏；2008年当代百人（百幅）作品邀请展；2008年《水墨百味》当代中国画名家学术邀请展；2009年《墨荷》参加中国国家画院《回顾印象》中国画名家学术展；2009年《三石抱兰》参加中国国家画院《融聚》中国画学术提名展；2009年《瑞雪》参加中国金鸡百花电影节首届中国美术家“翰墨飘香”作品展。

大写意花鸟画发展至今，不单初学者畏之艰难，许多专家学者亦认为不易。
除了他先天要求的笔墨基础之外，更重要的是笔墨以外的文化修养、道德修养。笔墨功夫已经是不易之事，上有八大、老缶、齐白石艺术之高峰，超越他们谈何容易，文化道德修养更是人品画品的重要保障。
张凤祥凭着对艺术的热爱，对大写意花鸟画的真诚，几十年坚持不懈，孜孜以求，默默耕耘，画了大量的写生速写，临摹了大量近现代画家的作品，特别是齐白石、吴昌硕的作品。他将每一幅作品拆开揉碎反复揣摩，领悟其中的笔墨之奥妙。如今，他在大写意花鸟画方面已经得心应手，随心所欲，信笔拈来，极得天趣，而且笔墨功夫老辣厚重，苍劲圆润。在他的画中，不但有八大的冷峻，吴昌硕的苍劲，更多的是传统文化的底蕴，在其作品中得到传承，同时也赋有其时代精神。

在渐渐获得的荣誉殊荣面前，张凤祥并没有固步自封，他依然保持谦逊本色，更加冷静、平和、散淡、自然。张凤祥说，他深知中国绘画博大精深，大写意花鸟画道路依然艰辛，只有继续不懈地努力探求，才能在艰辛的求索中获得光明，而成正果。江山代有人才出，祝愿他在大写意花鸟画领域里越走越远。
