张伟，曾用名张嵬，号僧璨。1964年生于山东枣庄。1985年-1987年就读解放军艺术学院美术系。1988考入天津美术学院中国画系，1992年毕业并获文学学士学位．2007年－2009年考入中国国家画院人物画课题班刘大为导师工作室专题研究水墨人物。
先后任教于天津美术学院中国画系、北京民族大学美术系。曾为《今日中国美术》副主编、百花文艺出版社副编审、《今日先锋》美术总监。
作品多次参加全国性美术展览并屡获奖项。其中，作品《鸣》入选1990年“全国美术院校学生作品展”并获优秀奖；作品《远古的回声》入选1992年“第二届全国工笔大展”；作品《白色棕榈》入选1999年“第五届全国书籍装帧艺术展览”并获封面设计优秀奖；作品《80天环游地球》入选2002年中国美术家协会“全国新人新作展”；2004年入选“60--70s优秀青年艺术家提名展；作品《黄河－神架》入选“2007·中国百家金陵中国画展”；作品《迷彩花季》入选2007年“建军80周年全军美展”；作品《黄河岸》入选“2009·中国百家金陵中国画展”；作品《黄河人家》入选2009年“十一届全国美展”。
多幅作品在《美术》、《美术报》、《美术观察》、《国画家》等刊物发表；部分作品被国内外美术馆和重要机构收藏。
