杜国建，汉族，山东省宁津县人，毕业于山东纺织工学院实用美术系染织设计专业（现为青岛大学美术学院），学士学位。
1974年-1976年在山东省淄博市第五中学读高中高中
1976年-1978年在淄博市张店区大张公社曹营大队上山下乡知青高中
1978年-1986年在淄博市电影发行放映公司宣传科工作从事电影美术宣传、组织电影美术海报、插图、橱窗等创作工作高中
1986年9月-1990年7月参加全国统一考试考入：山东纺织工学院（现青岛大学美术学院）实用美术系染织设计专业大学本科、学士学位
1990年7月-2009年5月淄博市电影发行放映公司宣传科工作从事电影美术宣传、组织电影美术海报、插图、橱窗等创作工作。1991年加入山东省美术家协会。1999年晋升为二级美术师；2004年晋升为一级美术师。曾为山东电影美术研究会理事。主持设计电影橱窗并荣获全国城市电影橱窗设计二等奖。创作电影宣传画，多次荣获山东省电影宣传画创作一、二、三等奖。为报纸《淄博银幕》创作电影美术插图一千余幅。2000年荣获“淄博市优秀青年知识分子”及“淄博市建功立业标兵等荣誉称号”。2005年当选为淄博市第九届政协委员。大学本科、学士学位
2009年5月-2015年8月在淄博职业学院艺术设计系从事美术基础课、专业课教学工作。主要讲授：《造型基础》、《色彩表现》、《构成》、《艺术概论》、《中外建筑史》、《中国画》、《人物雕塑》、《装饰雕塑》等课程。美术作品《焦裕禄》、《齐长城》分别荣获由山东省教育厅、文化厅主办的“山东省美术、设计基本功大赛”、“首届山东省艺术院校美术创作大赛”金奖、一等奖”。主持山东省重点艺术课题“焦裕禄的青年时期连环画创作研究”、“齐长城组画创作研究”等多项科研项目。多次被评为市级、学院优秀教师。大学本科、学士学位
2015年8月-2018年12淄博职业学院稷下研究院从事齐文化理论研究及中国传统历史人物绘画创作研究。为中央电视台大型纪录片《姜太公》创作系列作品40余幅，由中国国际影像出版总公司向全球发行。发表、撰写文史学术论文30余篇。主持、策划举办“孔子圣迹图专题展”、“屈原《离骚》历代绘本专题展”、“齐长城专题展”等20余场，为中国传统美术的推广和传播做出了突出的贡献。大学本科、学士学位
