刘竟群，广东揭阳人。中国美术家协会会员。曾就读于清华大学美术学院当代艺术（国画方向）创作研究生班，现为清美艺术创作研究会常务理事、北京渊林画院画师、广东省美术家协会会员、广东省揭阳市美术家协会副主席，揭阳市揭东区美术协会会长。

2012年10月，作品“二月雪”参加“翰墨新象”全国中国画作品展评为优秀奖并被上海博物馆收藏
2012年12月，作品“出山·雪”入选全国第三届中国画线描艺术展并评为优秀作品
