张大庆笔名大磬，毕业于青岛大学美术学院、中央美术学院硕士研究生班。现为青岛大学美术学院副教授，硕士生导师。
张大庆的花鸟画走的基本是大写意的路子。青岛近当代画家中大写意画家成就斐然，如张朋、宋新涛、隋易夫、郝保真等。或许张大磬的花鸟画就是在这种氛围中滋养和矫正出自己的写意花鸟画之路。张大庆1986年毕业于山东纺织工学院美术系并留校任教，大学期间，他与同学王绍波、上官超英共同发起成立了大学生中国画研究会。山东省花鸟画艺术委员会成立，他是7位委员之一。教学之余，张大庆积极投身于花鸟画的研究与创作。1988年，张大庆应邀参加第六届中国当代花鸟画家邀请展，其作品与李可染等当代大家的作品在同一展会展出，并受到好评。之后他连续15届参加该展，并成为历届花鸟画展特约画家。他所创作的《花地》入选首届中国画大展，《一样秋花》入选第二届中国画展。他的作品多次获奖并由中国国家画院及多家美术馆收藏；作品入编大型专业性画册50余部，出版有《写意花鸟写生与创新》《名家手稿》《和谐家园》《花鸟画图典》《写意花鸟技法丛书》《水墨华年》等。
