刘继红，法名觉红。1955年生，安徽阜阳市人。1997至2000年就读于中央民族大学美术学院研究生班。为国家一级美术师、中国美术家协会会员、北京汉唐华夏美术馆馆长、清华大学中国画高研班客座教授。刘继红的大写意花鸟落墨为格、清新刚健、风姿绰约、野逸放达，既有骨力，又见墨韵风神，在激情四溢中喷发出一种不同寻常的阳刚之气。他笔下的花鸟，无不以精炼的笔墨，通过对水和墨的干湿浓淡变化的恰当把握，生意盎然地涂抹出物象的形态、神气、质感、量感、空间感，又极富画家主观的意趣、情致、韵味、心态。它们不似自然中的此花此鸟，但又完全符合当代人心中的审美理想；不是具象，也不是抽象，而是“物我交融”、“天人合一”的意象造型，承古意多有新变，令人赏心悦目。
