又名王卿杰、海石、源杰，生于青岛，现定居北京。师从于吴休、李宝林，结业于中国美术家协会中国画高研班，中国人民大学中国画研究生班。现执教于清华大学美术学院任吴休中国画导师工作室助理导师。兼任北京经典惠和文化艺术中心主任，中国国画院院委，《东方文化艺术》杂志社总编，东北农业大学艺术学院客座教授，北京千年古韵文化艺术院副院长，“北京琉璃厂”网中国画艺术委员会副主任；曾担任全国书画院创作交流协会活动部、培训部负责人；北京琉璃厂网美术高考教育指导委员会主任；全国百名画家创研班总负责人等职。

作品曾入选中国美协主办的纪念孔子2550周年全国画展，作品获美协及香港文融文化艺术院等主办的全国书画大赛获银奖，入选第六届中国书画名家大展，获优秀作品奖。

书法作品入选中国书协主办的纪念舒同全国书法大展。

曾在中国美术家协会培训中心协助全面教学工作期间多次带领中国美术家协会高研班学员赴外地写生。

曾带领中国书画家访问团出访菲律宾、在台湾举办画展。

曾策划并主持了“北京青年画家创作年会”、“著名画家赴山东采风”、“海峡两岸书画艺术交流展”等大型活动。

曾主编并出版了《中国美术家协会培训中心高研班作品集》、《当代实力派书画家系列丛书》等书籍。

创办并主编了《中国书画经营》报、《收藏导刊》报等报纸。
