孙长杰，1948年出生于安徽，现居北京。早年毕业于黄山画院，进修于中央美术学院国画系。现为中国美术家协会会员，中国国家书画院副院长，中国国画家协会理事，中国艺术家协会名誉主席，国家一级美术师，文化部第七届“文华奖”最佳成就奖获得者，国务院国宾礼特供艺术家，享受国务院特殊津贴专家。
孙长杰曾入选由中国艺术报道编辑部、艺术视野编辑部主办的“全国当代30位最具学术价值与市场潜力的花鸟画家”。擅长花鸟画。自幼习书画，深受吴昌硕、齐百石作品影响。擅花鸟、重写生，作品大气简练，收放自如。将传统笔墨与西方艺术巧妙融合，大胆创新。作品具有很高的研究和收藏价值。
作品《长寿图》、《水墨葡萄》、《柿柿如意》等曾入选由文化部、中国美协主办的第六、七、八、十届全国美展；《硕果》入选全国首届中国画展；《凌霄》入选当代中国画展；《万紫千红》入选百年中国画展；《年年有余》入选首届北京国际双年展等。并先后在日本、法国、印度尼西亚等国家和北京、上海、山东、南京、广州、沈阳、济南、福州、兰州、成都、杭州、无锡、举办大型个人画展。
孙长杰作品被中国美术馆、中国画研究院、中央军委、北京人民大会堂、中南海紫光阁、钓鱼台国宾馆和毛泽东纪念堂及日本国际美协、澳洲东方艺术家协会所收藏。出版有《孙长杰花鸟画集》、《孙长杰作品》、《孙长杰葡萄》、《孙长杰鲶鱼集》、《当代艺术家画库——孙长杰》、《百杰画家——孙长杰》《孙长杰——跨世纪杰出中国画家作品集》、《孙长杰国画解析》、《中国写意花鸟画技法》（含CD—ROM光盘）、《当代最具升值潜力的画家·孙长杰》等二十余部。

1989年应邀赴新加坡举办个人展；　1992年作品《寿仙图》获得中国书画家协会主办的全国“龙舟杯”书画大赛一等奖。
