吴耀华（曾名吴跃华）
男，汉族，1959年2月生于如皋，祖籍南通市。
江苏省南通大学艺术学院教授，硕士生导师，院长，
国家教育部高校高职高专艺术设计教学指导委员会委员，
中国美术家协会会员，
江苏省国画院特聘画师，
江苏省高校艺术教育研究委员会理事，
南通市美术家协会副主席，
政协南通市第九、十届委员、南通政协书画会副秘书长
1982年７月毕业于南京艺术学院工笔人物画专业，获文学学士学位。
1991年结业于南京艺术学院美术系中国画研究生班。
1996年结业于中央美术学院美术史系理论研究生班。
主要从事中国画创作与理论研究，兼及现代装饰绘画研究。作品参加第九、第十届全国美展，并多次入选由中国美术家协会和江苏省美术家协会组织的专业性画展，亦获奖。在《美术研究》、《东南文化》、《艺术百家》、《晋阳学刊》等核心学术刊物发表学术论文三十余篇，于出版部门发表、参展作品数百幅。在人民美术出版社出版理论专著《中国画形式语言》与《现代装饰线描集》，全国发行，业绩入《世界美术家传》等辞典。
