 马兴海，艺名“墨山石”，号：墨海，1950年4月8日出生于中国四川峨眉山市。中国艺坛十大名家，全球六大重量级风云人物。

　　主攻山水，兼攻花鸟、人物、走兽和书法，独创“浸墨法”，集传统手法和大自然地质纹理于一体，容自然形成和手工绘画为一炉，以水墨为主，淡彩渲染真可谓鬼斧神工，变化无穷，达到了古人“气韵生动，出于天成，人莫窥 其巧者谓之神品”的境界。他为中国打开了一扇了解文化的窗口，实现了一次伟大的跨越。

　　作品载入中国当代《美术家、书法家汉英辞典》、《世界艺术家名人录》、《新中国美术家大典》、《世界文艺名家大辞典》、《一代翘楚》、《全球风云人物榜上特辑》等数十部国内外名籍。

 1999年作品获第三届世界华人艺术大会“特别金奖”;

　　2008年为四川汶川等重灾区抗震救灾创作捐赠作品;

　　2009年被文化部列入“中国艺坛十大名家”;
