江文湛(1940.8—)山东人。擅长中国画。1961年毕业于西安美术学院附中，1980年毕业于西安美术学院研究生班。曾在西安美术学院中国画系任教，现为西安中国画院副院长，一级美术师。

一九九六年由中国美协、中国美术馆联合主办《江文湛画展》在北京中国美术馆展出，并在全国巡展。用十多年时间在终南山创建的艺术创作基地“红草园”，曾被全国各大电视台和报刊、杂志等相继报道多次。在全国美术界颇具影响力。

    20世纪80年代初，江文湛先生的花鸟画已在全国颇具影响，并逐步形成自己鲜明的个性面貌和绘画语言，在花鸟画坛独树一帜，其江氏画风深深影响了很多中青年画家。他是被业内人士认可的一位真正做学问的、才情性的画家。多年来，江文湛先生不喜张扬，一直致力于钻研学问，尤其是他用十多年时间在终南山创建的艺术创作基地“红草园”，成为其潜心治学、精心研究花鸟画创作的重要艺术家园，在全国美术界产生广泛影响。

Jiang Wenzhan (1940.8-), a representative painter of Chang'an School of Painting. Born in 1940 in Tancheng, Shandong Province. Good at Chinese painting. He graduated from the attached middle school of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in 1961 and graduated from the postgraduate class of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in 1980. He taught in the Department of Traditional Chinese Painting of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts and remained in the Department of Traditional Chinese Painting of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts. In 1985, he was transferred to Xi'an Academy of Chinese Painting as Vice President. Now he is the vice-president of Xi'an Academy of Chinese Painting, a first-class artist, a member of China Association of Fine Arts, an outstanding expert, a visiting professor of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, a librarian of Shaanxi Museum of Culture and History, and an editor of China Flower and Bird Painting Magazine. Autumn Lotus was selected in the 7th National Art Exhibition. In 2012, the works "Fireworks to be cut" and "Lotus Tu" were selected in the 2nd Ninth City Art Exhibition.

In 1996, Jiang Wenzhan's Painting Exhibition was co-sponsored by China Association of Fine Arts and China Art Museum. It was exhibited in Beijing China Art Museum and toured all over the country. The Red Grass Garden, an artistic creation base established in Zhongnanshan for more than ten years, has been reported many times by major TV stations, newspapers, magazines and so on. It has considerable influence in the national art circle.

Style formation

In the early 1980s, Mr. Jiang Wenzhan's flower-and-bird painting had a great influence in the whole country, and gradually formed his own distinct personality and painting language, which was unique in the flower-and-bird painting circle. His Jiang's style of painting deeply influenced many young and middle-aged painters. He is recognized by the industry as a truly knowledgeable and talented painter. Over the years, Mr. Jiang Wenzhan has not liked publicity and has been devoting himself to the study of knowledge. Especially, the Red Grass Garden, an artistic creation base he has built in Zhongnanshan for more than ten years, has become an important artist garden devoted to studying and carefully studying the creation of flower and bird paintings, which has exerted a wide influence in the national art circle.
