郑小娟 生于1940年，湖南长沙人，1963年毕业于湖南师范大学美术系，中国画专业。曾任美术教师、文化馆美术干部、美术编辑、编辑室主任、社长兼总编，现任湖南美术出版社编审，湖南省出版局编审委员会委员。为中国美术家协会理事、中国工笔画学会理事、湖南省美术家协会副主席、湖南省文联委员。

 从事中国工笔画创作四十余年，作品参加1964年以来由中国文化部、中国美协主办的历届全国美展和工笔大展。部分代表作被中国美术馆、中国画研究院、中国展览公司、日本广岛弥勒的里美术馆等文化机构收藏。代表作编入由国家出版社出版的《中国现代美术全集》。大型美术丛刊《中国书画》、《国画家》、《美术》、《画家》、《江苏画刊》，香港《文汇报》中国书画栏，美国国际日报等处专栏专板介绍她和她的工笔人物画。著作有：《工笔人物画技法》、《中国当代美术家画库·郑小娟》、《郑小娟作品集》（八开精装画册）。1990年由中国美协指派为中国女画家代表团成员赴澳门出席《中国女画家作品展》。1991年应邀参加《周恩来》电影拍摄工作，出演邓颖超女士。1993年3月中央电视台《东方之子》专题介绍她和她的作品。

 Zheng Xiaojuan was born in 1940 in Changsha, Hunan Province. She graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of Hunan Normal University in 1963 and majored in Chinese Painting. He has been an art teacher, art cadre, art editor, director of editorial room, president and editor-in-chief of Hunan Fine Arts Publishing House, and a member of the Editorial Committee of Hunan Publishing Bureau. He is the director of China Artists Association, the director of China Fine Brushwork Association, the vice-chairman of Hunan Artists Association and the member of Hunan Literature Federation.

He has been engaged in the creation of Chinese fine brushwork for more than 40 years. His works have participated in all the national art exhibitions and fine brushwork exhibitions sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and the Chinese Association of Fine Arts since 1964. Some representative works have been collected by cultural institutions such as the China Museum of Art, the Academy of Chinese Painting, the China Exhibition Company and the Mili Museum of Art in Hiroshima, Japan. The representative works were compiled in the Complete Works of Modern Chinese Art published by the State Publishing House. She and her meticulous figure paintings are introduced on the columns of the large-scale art series "Chinese Calligraphy and Painting", "Chinese Painter", "Art", "Painter", "Jiangsu Painting Magazine", "Wen Hui Bao" in Hong Kong, and "American International Daily". His works include: Techniques of Fine Brushwork Figure Painting, Zheng Xiaojuan, the Painting Library of Contemporary Chinese Artists, and Zheng Xiaojuan's Works Collection (eight hardcover albums). In 1990, a delegation of Chinese women painters was appointed by the Chinese Association of Arts to Macao to attend the Exhibition of Chinese Women Painters'Works. In 1991, she was invited to take part in the filming of Zhou Enlai and starred in Ms. Deng Yingchao. In March 1993, CCTV's "Son of the East" introduced her and her works.
