曾任浙江《工农兵画报》社编辑、社主任，浙江人民出版社副总编、党委副书记，省出版总社副社长、党委副书记，绍兴市委副书记，省委宣传部副部长、省出版总社社长、党委书记，嘉兴市委书记，省委常委、宣传部长，1998年12月任省委副书记。

2005年3月浙江省委副书记、省政协副主席；2005年8月浙江省政协副主席。现任浙江省政协常务副主席，浙江省人民对外友好协会会长，浙江树人大学董事长，中国美术家协会理事，浙江画院名誉院长，浙江省美术家协会艺术指导委员会主任。

 梁平波画展巴黎开幕

2005年9月8日晚，中国著名画家、浙江省对外友好协会会长梁平波先生画展在巴黎中国文化中心隆重开幕。画展展出了梁平波先生近期精心创作的40多幅艺术作品。第4届浙江书展也于同时拉开帷幕。

中国驻法大使赵进军和夫人钱卫参赞、法国陈氏公司董事长陈克威和夫人，以及本报社长杨咏橘女士等中法各界嘉宾300多人出席了画展开幕式。中国驻法使馆文化处公使衔参赞、巴黎中国文化中心主任侯湘华女士主持了开幕式。

梁平波先生曾先后就读于北京的中央美术学院附中和浙江的中国美术学院。这两所中国美术教育最高学府的艺术教育，使他既有扎实的写实基本功，又有强烈的现代审美意识。尤其是以中国美院国画系为代表的“浙派人物画”艺术风格，更在他的画作当中得以充分展现。

梁平波的作品，肌理丰富，厚重明快。除了注重中国传统“笔墨技巧”之外，同时也强调了“人物画”的造型和素描效果。

此次展出的梁平波画作，受到了中法各界人士的一致好评。中国驻法大使赵进军特别对梁平波先生能够在繁忙的工作之余，坚持艺术创作，并创作出了大量反映中国社会现实生活及西藏风情的优秀艺术作品，表示由衷钦佩。

梁平波先生在1995年和2001年两次赴西藏之旅之后，创作了全长达32.4米、高1.4米的巨幅长卷《走进西藏》。刻画出187个栩栩如生的人物形象。但是，由于场地关系，这次展览无法将长卷的原作展出。“第4届巴黎浙江图书展”带来了他的长卷复制品和《走进西藏》精美画册，供各界人士欣赏。

梁平波先生在画展上说，希望这次画展的举行，能够增加浙江省和法国的文化艺术交流，让更多的法国朋友了解和喜爱中国画，同时也希望通过以书画这种形式，加深法国朋友对中华文化的理解和感受。他表示相信：“中西绘画在不断相互取长补短、融会贯通的过程中，会得到更多的创新和提高”。

Liang Pingbo Painting Exhibition opens in Paris
