郜宗远 1942年出生。 画家、编审。中国美协理事、中国出版工作者协会美术出版研究会会长、中国美术分类全集总编委会副总编辑。现任中国美术出版总社社长、人民美术出版社社长、荣宝斋总经理。从1964年开始美术创作，作品多次在各大报刊发表，曾多次在韩国、日本、匈牙利等地举办个人画展，作品在日本、新加坡、马来西亚、匈牙利、韩国、美国、香港、台湾等国家和地区有收藏。2001年10月，作品《瀑》参加百年中国画大展，收入《百年中国画集》。1993年经国务院批准为享受政府特殊津贴的专家。出版个人画册有《郜宗远作品选》、《郜宗远水墨作品集》等。

 主持参与编辑《中国大百科全书》《中国美术全集》《中国美术百科全书》《新中国出版50年》《新中国美术50年》《百年中国画集》等，多次获国家图书奖、国家艺术图书奖。被聘为中国美术馆顾问委员会专家成员1993年经国务院批准享受政府特殊津贴。其作品《瀑》参加百年中国画大展，作品《瀑》《峡江放舟》被中国美术馆收藏。出版有《郜宗远作品集》《郜宗远水墨作品集》等。

 Gao Zongyuan was born in 1942. Painter, Editor. Director of China Association of Fine Arts, President of Art Publishing Research Association of China Publishing Workers Association, Vice-Editor-in-Chief Editorial Committee of China Art Classification Complete Works. He is currently the president of China Fine Arts Publishing Corporation, the president of People's Fine Arts Publishing House and the general manager of Rong Baozhai. Since 1964, works of art have been published in various major newspapers and periodicals. Individual paintings exhibitions have been held in Korea, Japan, Hungary and other places. Works have been collected in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hungary, Korea, the United States, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other countries and regions. In October 2001, the work "Waterfall" participated in the 100-year exhibition of Chinese paintings, and was included in the 100-year Collection of Chinese Paintings. In 1993, he was approved by the State Council as an expert who enjoyed special government allowances. Publishing personal albums include Selected Works of Gao Zongyuan and Collection of Ink and Wash Works of Gao Zongyuan.

He presided over and participated in editing the Encyclopedia of China, Complete Works of Chinese Fine Arts, Encyclopedia of Chinese Fine Arts, 50 Years of Publication of New China, 50 Years of New Chinese Fine Arts and 100 Years of Chinese Paintings, etc. He has won the National Book Award and the National Art Book Award for many times. Appointed as an expert member of the Advisory Committee of the Chinese Art Museum, he was granted special government allowance by the State Council in 1993. His works Waterfall participated in the Centennial Exhibition of Chinese painting. His works Waterfall and Xiajiang Fangzhou were collected by the Chinese Art Museum. Publishing has "Gao Zongyuan Works Collection" and "Gao Zongyuan Ink Works Collection" and so on.
