周顺恺画作

 周顺恺，男，回族，1950年生于重庆，1968年——1982年先后在海军南海舰队和海政任美术创作员，后就职重庆国画院，臻纪签约艺术家。

个人经历

周顺恺祖籍安徽，1950年生于渝中区小什字棉花街。“我父亲有一手漂亮的书法。小时候，我也喜欢练毛笔字。”上初中时，周顺恺已是学校颇有名气的小画家了。“在重庆第二十五中学，我经常画墙报报头。”1968年，周顺恺入伍，在海军南海舰队电影队当兵，画了三年幻灯片。

1971年，周顺恺成为海军南海舰队政治部一名美术创作员。“你有一定书法基础，可以用心画国画。”周顺恺画幻灯画、版画时，引起画家李宝林注意。李宝林师从著名国画大师李可染，有着深厚的传统国画功底，中央美术学院毕业后被分配到海军南海舰队政治部美术创作组任创作员。

1973年，23岁的周顺恺在李宝林指导下，以国画<第一封家信>参加全国美展，初试牛刀就获评委们认可。周顺恺至今还保留那次美展的作品集。

1975年，幸运再次降临到周顺恺头上。

1975年下半年，部队接到海军政治部任务，要求他们画一幅反映中国工农红军长征胜利会师的国画，定名为《大会师》。美术组把任务交给了李宝林和周顺恺共同完成。

周顺恺1983年从海军政治部转业到重庆群众艺术馆，后调到重庆国画院任创作员。

历代画家画古代历史人物苏武，多以小品画见长。上世纪80年代，周顺恺开始专门研究历史人物画，他画苏武就试图寻找突破。20多年来，周顺恺画了很多不同造型的苏武，开始注重环境渲染，后来删繁就简，用笔洗炼，但画面上依然有一种苍茫叙事的大气象。

周顺恺近年来将眼光转向民间，关注普通人的生活和命运，先后创作了《纤夫》、《童叟图》、《搬迁》、《矿工兄弟》等作品。在全国书画院作品联展中，他创作表现三峡库区移民的中国画《搬迁》，表现彝族风情的《童叟图》辑入少数民族艺术的大型典籍《中国少数民族美术史》。

 周顺恺尤擅中国历史、革命题材的人物画，以“传神写心”为创作旨归。他的人物画有血有肉，能准确地把握每一个人不同的精神气质和典型个性。他的历史题材画以情动人，与时代同呼吸、共命运。因此呈现出构思巧、笔墨精、形象活、感情真的特点。中国文联副主席、中国美协副主席、著名中国画家冯远写到：“周顺恺用心、用严谨的造型手段和对人物深度的刻画以及凝炼、沉实、遒劲的笔墨技巧，塑造了一个个历史和当代人物的艺术形象。他笔下众多生动鲜活、个性典型、栩栩如生、有血有肉的人物形象充分体现了民族精神和时代正气，深刻地描述了社会的形态和人生的状态”。

 Zhou Shunkai, male, Hui nationality, was born in Chongqing in 1950. From 1968 to 1982, he worked as an artist in the Navy South China Sea Fleet and Haizheng, and later as an artist in the Chongqing Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting.

Personal experience

Zhou Shunkai was born in 1950 in Xiaoshi Cotton Street, Yuzhong District, Anhui Province. "My father has a beautiful hand of calligraphy. When I was a child, I also liked to practice brush writing. When he was in junior high school, Zhou Shunkai was already a famous little painter in the school. "In Chongqing No. 25 Middle School, I often paint wall newspaper headlines." In 1968, Zhou Shunkai joined the army and served as a soldier in the South China Sea Fleet Film Fleet. He drew three-year slides.

In 1971, Zhou Shunkai became an art creator in the Political Department of the Navy's South China Sea Fleet. "You have a certain foundation of calligraphy, you can draw Chinese painting with your heart." Zhou Shunkai attracted the attention of the painter Li Baolin when he painted slides and prints. Li Baolin, a famous master of Chinese painting, Li Keran, has a deep foundation in traditional Chinese painting. After graduation from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, he was assigned to be a member of the Art Creation Group of the Political Department of the Navy South China Sea Fleet.

In 1973, under the guidance of Li Baolin, 23-year-old Zhou Shunkai participated in the National Art Exhibition with Chinese Painting <The First Letter from His Home> and was recognized by the judges for his first test of Niu Dao. Zhou Shunkai still keeps the collection of works of that art exhibition.

In 1975, luck came to Zhou Shunkai again.

In the second half of 1975, the army received a task from the Political Department of the Navy, asking them to draw a Chinese painting reflecting the Victory of the Long March of the Red Army of Chinese Workers and Peasants, which was named "Master General". The Art Group entrusted the task to Li Baolin and Zhou Shunkai.

Zhou Shunkai transferred to Chongqing Mass Art Museum from the Political Department of the Navy in 1983, and later transferred to Chongqing Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting as a creator.

Suwu, an ancient historical figure painted by painters of all dynasties, is mostly good at sketches. In the 1980s, Zhou Shunkai began to specialize in historical figure painting. He tried to find a breakthrough in painting Suwu. Over the past 20 years, Zhou Shunkai has painted many different forms of Suwu. He began to pay attention to environmental rendering. Later, he simplified and refined them with his pen. However, there is still a vast narrative atmosphere in the picture.

In recent years, Zhou Shunkai has turned his eyes to the folk and paid attention to the life and fate of ordinary people. He has successively created works such as "Tractor", "Tong Man Tu", "Relocation" and "Miner Brothers". In the joint exhibition of works of the National Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, he created the Chinese painting "Relocation" which represents the immigrants from the Three Gorges Reservoir Area, and "Tong Su Tu", which expresses the Yi people's style, was included in the large-scale classic of minority art, "History of Chinese Minority Art".

Zhou Shunkaiyou is good at figure paintings on Chinese history and revolution. His aim is to "vividly express his mind". His figure painting has flesh and blood, and can accurately grasp each person's different spiritual temperament and typical personality. His historical paintings are touching, breathing and destiny with the times. Therefore, it presents the characteristics of ingenious conception, fine brush and ink, vivid image and genuine emotion. Feng Yuan, Vice-Chairman of the Chinese Federation of Literature, Vice-Chairman of the Chinese Art Association and a famous Chinese painter, wrote: "Zhou Shunkai has created the artistic images of historical and contemporary figures with his intentions, rigorous modeling methods, deep portrayal of characters and concise, solid and vigorous brush and ink skills. Many vivid, typical, vivid and flesh-and-blood characters in his works fully embody the national spirit and the righteousness of the times, and profoundly describe the shape of society and the state of life.
