陈茂叶

 陈茂叶,男,1956年生,汉族,海南万宁人,中共党员,中专学历,一级美术师。省美协主席,省文联副主席。作品入选全国第七、八、九、十、十一届美术作品展;《绿太阳》被评为第八届全国美展获奖作品,一批作品入选全国体育美展等国家级美展,并多次获省美展一等奖。多幅作品被中国美术馆、毛主席纪念堂等单位收藏;多幅作品发表于《美术》、《美术报》、《人民日报》等。被省文联授予“德艺双馨优秀艺术家”称号,获“海南省宣传思想文化工作突出贡献奖”。

 陈茂叶,1956年生,海南万宁人。现为中国美术家协会理事、中国国画学会理事、海南省文联副主席、海南省美术家协会主席,一级美术师。曾先后被海南政府授予“海南省有突出贡献优秀专家”、“德艺双馨优秀艺术家”称号,并荣获“海南省宣传思想文化工作突出贡献奖”。美术作品分别入选五年一度的全国第七、八、九、十、十一届美术作品展览,其中《绿太阳》还被评为“全国第八届美术作品展览”获奖作品。还有一批作品入选全国体育美展等国家级美展。多次获海南省美展一等奖。美术作品被中国美术馆、毛主席纪念堂、中央党校、人民日报社、等处收藏。

 ——陈茂叶书画新作赏析

生活的美好感动了你,儿时的记忆时常萦绕在你的脑际,你怀着一颗童心去欣赏现实生活当中的美,你确实是用心在感受当下和往日的美好的记忆,你就是我一向敬重的陈茂叶先生,一位成功的艺术家。

 

陈茂叶先生的书画作品时,带给我的的感动使我不由得想起王国维先生的《人间词话》说道:“无我之境,人惟于静中得之。有我之境,于由动之静时得之。故一优美,一宏壮也。”由于陈茂叶先生作品带给我的震撼和无限遐思,我一时不能找到更好的词汇来表达,所以借用王先生的名言来喻义,在我认为,那是再也贴切恰当不过的了。

 

这个说法有个前提,那就是关于海南山水、花鸟、人物的表现方法问题,一直以来,美丽而神秘的海南岛,令南北画家趋之若鹜,但是当他们来到这个地球上尚存的为数不多的一方净土的时候,很多人茫然了,那无私的阳光全方位的倾泻到万物身上,呈现出的令人目盲的奇异色彩,着实令很多人包括大师级的画家手足无措,不知如何才能用手中生花的妙笔来表现这些上天的恩赐,更不知怎样才能用中国传统的笔墨来表现内心汹涌的情感,更不用说王国维先生口中的艺术作品的至高追求——“境界”的表达了。自幼生活在海南岛的陈茂叶,几十年的陶冶,几十年孜孜不倦的追求,使他自幼便对身边的事物产生了浓厚的兴趣,这个浓厚的兴趣使他很自然的与当年基本上是原生态的海南岛结下了无法分割的情愫,这一切不是刻意的观察和思考得来的,甚至于可以说那是与生俱来的、不可分割的他的生命的一部分。因为对于我们来讲只能是奢望着、难得一见的“老鹰抓小鸡”场景,对于陈茂叶来说,却是儿时常见的场景,于是,您怎么能理解还有谁能比他更能随手就能画出具有超然境界的海南风光呢?这就是骨子里就具有海南情节的画家的独享之处!

 

陈茂叶对于艺术的追求是永远不会止步的,他有着卓越的胆识和超凡的智慧以及驾驭全局的本领。就因为如此,他才秉持一个纯粹的艺术家的良知和责任感,进行了他的下一步更高的“似与不似”的审美追求,这对他来说无疑是一个“凤凰涅槃”似的再生过程,因为他首先要克服的不仅仅是如何表现的问题,更是怎样才能摆脱准确的造型能力对于当下表现形式的制约问题,从而使自己能够天马行空的自由挥洒。一个成功的艺术家要想在以往的成熟的风格上再有所突破,付出的代价肯定是巨大的,这是一个由必然王国向自由王国迈进的艰辛的再生历程,其困难程度可想而知。准确的造型能力是以极大的勇气“打进去”,“似与不似”是以极大的勇气“打出来”,这看似简单的一进一出成就了屈指可数的少数大家,第二阶段的“似与不似”是一个永远也到达不了的高峰,因为它是无止境的。由于理解的偏颇和自身艺术素养的不足,这艺术追求的第二阶段不知葬送了多少颇有才华的画家。可喜的是,陈茂叶却能在短短的时间里,屡屡有所突破,有所领悟。

 

前文说过,美丽的海南岛呈现在人们眼前的是近乎虚幻的流淌着的色块,太阳的强光将原本五光十色、多姿多彩的热带植被照射成一片葱绿,那种绿色令很多画家茫然,我亲眼所见,很多来海南写生的知名大家,在这片热土上盘桓数日一无所获,所以我据此得出结论,若非有极强的生活感受,想表现海南风物那是非常困难的。陈茂叶既然选择了用中国画作为载体,有其独到之处,那是胸有成竹的,因为他有绝对的把握不会重蹈前人的覆辙。中国画是以线条为主的艺术,在陈茂叶的笔下,那些干的、浓的、淡的、粗的、细的、直的、弯的、中锋的、侧锋的、逆锋的,甚至还有散锋组合成的线条,变幻莫测,形态和神态各异,各有各的神采,各有各的使命。它们以不可替代的重要性承载着那些色块,那些点,这些线条的穿插和纠缠裹挟着丰富的色彩变化,组成了远近大小规则的和不规则的面和体,增强了画面的动感,深化了画面的构成空间,它们的律动看着是无序的,但实际上与画面有是相互生发的。它们指引着观众的视线,随作者的思绪在画面上游动、飘忽、飞腾,时而沉静,时而徐缓,在一张静态的宣纸上描绘出如此灵动的景象,动静交养,意味深长,余音袅袅,引人入胜。

 

花鸟画的另一个主要因素就是色彩。

 

海南岛上的太阳强光幻化出的令人目迷、令人神昏的亮丽光晕,几乎将所有的色调混合成一片,看似没有十分强烈的对比,没有明显的层次关系,使得很多画家在这个问题上停滞了,画出的只是平面关系的浓淡,而没有透视关系。陈茂叶的笔下呈现出的其实并不是大家孜孜以求的写实的或者是抽象的色调,而是他的自幼的对于海南岛的真实感受,这种朴实的、真诚的感受其实用不着刻意雕琢,只需要寻找一种恰当的构图便可如愿,而这在他来说是驾轻就熟的。于是,在将线条的作用发挥到极致以后,他又增加了大块的蓝、绿中间色和层次分明的淡墨作为中间调子,这里特别要提到的是他的具有丰富层次淡墨,将那些刺眼的光晕分解得有条不紊,一方面弱化了强光,一方面增加了文人画的韵味,这是极具传统功力的地方,因为用水墨来表现热带花鸟,一般人用的都是强烈对比色,以亮为主,还可以加一个“响”字,其效果是,初看吸引人的眼球,再看只觉平淡无奇,毫无思想和内容可言。陈茂叶的色墨并用,色中有墨,墨中有色,看似不经意,其实是匠心独运,因为这样一来,我所谓的令人目盲的强光下的热带植被,立即层次分明了,那种耀眼的光芒带给人们的莫名的热烈和狂躁瞬间变得极为冷静、清爽和条理清晰,在枝条纵横交错的间隙里偶见几点鲜亮的暖色,面积极虽小却对比强烈,提神醒脑,——领导全局之妙尽在于此!间或在人们意想不到的地方穿插几只不记工拙、不知名的虫儿、鸟儿,更加让人体会到扑面而来的南国风情的浓郁生活气息。在陈茂叶为我们营造的闲适的家园里生活,夫复何求?你感受到的肯定就只有温暖和闲适,这在生活节奏无比紧张的当今社会,是无数人终生追求的理想境界。

 

这种境界正如王国维先生所说:“境非独谓景物也。喜怒哀乐,亦人心中之一境界。故能写真景物、真感情者,谓之有境界。”(《王国维〈人间词话〉》)

 

更加令我惊讶的是陈茂叶的书法作品,看他的书法,似乎才让人真正明白了

 

什么是“以无法为有法”,更明白了石涛上人的“搜尽奇峰打草稿”的艺术感悟之由来。他的任情使性成就了他的无与伦比的书风,由于在进行书法创作时的兴之所至,所以他的作品有着绝对的不可复制性,也就是唯一性。那些神出鬼没的笔法使转下的线条,是传统书法的要素,但是他的每一笔又都不是无序的挥洒和任情使性的随意涂抹,他的徐疾、舒缓、飘忽,都是在他的高度协调统一下完成的,这种统一性成就了他的作品的章法的完整性和神韵的完美,除了在书法作品中展现他的对于墨法的理解和解构,他还运用宿墨来进行线条组合,增加了视觉冲击力,和艺术感染力。在他的作品当中,你找不出是师承某家某派,只觉得亲近,只觉得神采飞扬,他下笔有着极大的不确定性,也就生发出了很多偶然性,为了视觉上的完美和标新立异,他不由自主的采用了现代构成的理念,将密不透风、宽可跑马的美术作品上讲的经营位置自然的揉入其中,而那些出人预料的神来之笔和随心所欲增减的空白,却是在理性的绝对掌控之下完成的,你根本想不到他会在这里出现这个点画,你更加想不到他会在哪里落款。。。。。。,凡此种种,如果不是对于书法艺术有着艰深的全面理解,是不敢也不可能在创作上达到这样的高度的,所以他的作品的异彩纷呈,意象万千,呈现出意想不到的美感,就是非常自然而然的事情了。

The beauty of life touches you. Memories of childhood often linger in your mind. You appreciate the beauty of real life with a childlike heart. You really feel the beautiful memories of the present and the past with your heart. You are Mr. Chen Maoye, a successful artist whom I have always respected.

When Mr. Chen Maoye's painting and calligraphy works, I can't help thinking of Mr. Wang Guowei's Words on the World, which said: "No self, only quiet people get it. The realm of self is acquired in the quiet time of movement. So a beautiful, a magnificent. Because of the shock and endless reverie brought by Mr. Chen Maoye's works, I couldn't find a better vocabulary to express it for a moment, so it is no longer appropriate to use Mr. Wang's famous words to describe meaning in my opinion.

This statement has a premise, that is, about Hainan landscape, flowers and birds, people's performance methods. For a long time, the beautiful and mysterious Hainan Island has attracted the attention of artists from both the North and the South. But when they came to the few remaining parts of the earth, many people were lost, and the selfless sunshine was complete. Direction poured into all things, showing a blindly strange color, many people, including master painters, are really at a loss, do not know how to use the flower in their hands to express these gifts of heaven, let alone how to use traditional Chinese ink to express the turbulent feelings of the heart, let alone. Mr. Wang Guowei's highest pursuit of artistic works is the expression of "realm". Chen Maoye, who lived in Hainan Island since childhood, has been cultivating for decades and pursuing tirelessly for decades, which makes him have a strong interest in things around him since childhood. This strong interest makes him naturally inseparable from Hainan Island, which was basically the original ecology at that time. All these are not deliberate observations. It is a part of his life that can be said to be inherent and inseparable. For us, it can only be a luxurious and rare "eagle catching chicken" scene. For Chen Maoye, it is a common scene in childhood. So, how can you understand who can draw Hainan scenery with transcendent realm more easily than him? This is the unique feature of painters with Hainan plot in their bones!

Chen Maoye's pursuit of art will never stop. He has remarkable courage, extraordinary wisdom and the ability to control the overall situation. Because of this, he upholds a pure artist's conscience and sense of responsibility, and carries out his next higher aesthetic pursuit of "likeness and dislikeness", which is undoubtedly a "phoenix nirvana" like regeneration process for him, because he first has to overcome not only how to express the problem, but also how to do it. Get rid of the constraints of accurate modeling ability on the current form of expression, so that they can be free and unrestrained. If a successful artist wants to make a breakthrough in the past mature style, the cost must be enormous. This is an arduous regeneration process from the inevitable kingdom to the free kingdom, and its difficulty can be imagined. Accurate modeling ability is to "enter" with great courage, and "seemingly unlike" is to "strike out" with great courage. This seemingly simple one-in-one-out has achieved a handful of people. The second stage of "seemingly unlike" is a peak that can never be reached, because it is endless. Due to biased understanding and inadequate artistic accomplishment, the second stage of this artistic pursuit does not know how many talented painters have been buried. Fortunately, Chen Maoye has been able to make breakthroughs and insights in a short period of time.

Previously, the beautiful Hainan Island is presented in people's eyes with nearly illusory flowing color patches. The strong light of the sun illuminates the original colorful tropical vegetation into a verdant green. That kind of green makes many painters confused. I can see with my own eyes that many well-known people who come to Hainan to sketch in this hot soil. Panhuan did not get anything for several days, so I came to the conclusion that it would be very difficult to express Hainan's scenery without a strong feeling of life. Since Chen Maoye chose to use Chinese painting as a carrier, it has its own unique features, which is well-established, because he is absolutely sure that he will not repeat the mistakes of previous generations. Chinese painting is a line-based art. In Chen Maoye's works, the lines composed of dry, thick, light, thick, thin, straight, curved, center, side-front, counter-front and even scattered front are unpredictable, with different shapes and styles, each with its own charm and mission. They bear the irreplaceable importance of those color blocks, those dots, the intersection and entanglement of these lines with rich color changes, forming regular and irregular faces and bodies far and near, enhancing the motion of the picture, deepening the composition space of the picture, their rhythm looks disorderly, but in fact And the picture is mutually generated. They guide the viewer's vision, along with the author's thoughts in the picture moving, drifting, soaring, sometimes quiet, sometimes slow, in a static pamphlet depicted such a dynamic scene, dynamic and static intercourse, meaningful, lingering, fascinating.

Another major factor in flower and bird painting is color.

The bright halo of the strong sunlight on Hainan Island is so dazzling that almost all the tones are mixed together. It seems that there is no very strong contrast and no obvious hierarchical relationship, which makes many painters stagnate on this issue. What they paint is only the intensity of the plane relationship, but no perspective. Department. Chen Maoye's works show not the realistic or abstract tones that we all strive for, but the real feelings of Hainan Island from his childhood. This simple and sincere feeling does not need to be deliberately carved. It only needs to find an appropriate composition to do so, which is very important for him. Just ripe. Chen Maoye's combination of color and ink, color in ink, color in ink, seemingly inadvertent, is actually ingenious, because in this way, the so-called blindly intense light of tropical vegetation, immediately stratified, that kind of dazzling light brings people inexplicable enthusiasm and manic moments become extremely calm, refreshing and orderly. More surprising to me is Chen Maoye's calligraphy works. Looking at his calligraphy, it seems that people really understand it.
