笔名刘立吾，安徽怀宁人。擅长中国画。家学渊源深厚，自幼才思敏捷、惊才羡艳，崭露不俗美术天分，并以优异成绩考取浙江美院。但因极左潮影响，终失学业，转而从事美术教育工作。其壮志不屈，自号“立吾”，以明“人不立我我自立”之志，以吾为主师法古今大贤。如元四家及当代黄宾虹、陆俨少、石鲁等。四十余载苦思参悟，深自磨砺，将人生宠辱际遇的无尽炎凉融于笔墨意象之中。厚积薄发，如楚山之凤，以其独特的“立吾”笔墨意象展现于当今画坛，并获得一系列殊荣。
现为中国美术家协会会员，南浔瑜文斋书画院首席顾问。
