薛秀荣，1962年出生于山东省莱阳市，1982年毕业于莱阳师范美术专业.2001年进修于中央美术学院国画系。2002年考入中央美术学院国画系贾又福山水工作室硕士研究生课程班。现为中国美术家协会会员，北京大学贾又福工作室助理，烟台市美术家协会理事，莱阳市美协副主席，莱阳画院专职画家。

2006年，作品《山新气清》入选“纪念黄道周全国中国画提名展”；
