黄艾，1954年工10月出生，江西上犹人。毕业于江西师范大学，结业于西南师范大学、厦门大学研究生院。曾任江西省美术家协会副主席，江西省教育学会美术专业委员会副理事长，赣南师范学院美术系主任。现为中国美术家协会会员，苏州大学艺术学院教授，硕士生导师。
作品参加第七、八、九届全国美展并获省一等奖，作品获“中华杯”全国中国画大奖赛二等奖、“牡丹杯新人奖”。获中国文联“97中国画坛百杰”、“99中国百杰画家”称号，享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家，国家教育部“高．师教师奖”获得者。出版画册《百杰画家．黄艾作品精选》、《当代美术家．黄艾》。
