1914年生于浙江宁波，1935年入南京中央大学艺术科，自此之后从徐悲鸿，等大师学画。　　1938年任重庆精益中学美术教员，以后历任原成都女师，眉山师院美术教员，泸州师范美术师范科主任，解放后任西南军区后营房管理部，美术员。工程师，四川建筑设计院工程师，建工部西南工业建筑设计院工程师。现为四川美协会员，成都美协会员，四川建筑师协会成都分会委员。成都老协银杏诗社顾问。
曾获中国建筑工程系统（全国性）第一、二界美术书法，摄影展，国画两届第一等奖。　　解放后曾参加西南美展，四川省美展国画油画等多副。
解放前曾著“国画翎毛画法”“图案资料及其耕成法”“国画走兽画法”
作品《峨嵋金顶雪》四川省博物馆收藏。《巫山十二峰》南京师范大学美术系收藏。书籍《长江三峡》长江三峡画册，四川美术出版社出版。《峨嵋风光》四川大学博物馆收藏。《长江奇胜》宁波天一阁收藏。《峨嵋龙门洞》参加国际利物浦园林美展。
