邱楚莲，1972年出生于广东省潮州市，毕业于广州大学美术学院，先后结业于中国国家画院、清华大学美术学院。现任广东省惠州市文联委员、市美术家协会副主席；惠州画院副院长；肇庆美术学院兼职教授；中国美术家协会会员。
2013年作品《青春进行曲》荣获中国美协主办的“相聚宜兴”全国工笔画作品展优秀奖。
2012年作品《佳人有约》荣获中国美协主办的“全国第三届中国画线描艺术展”优秀奖；
2012年作品《秋山古寺》入选中国美协主办的“全国第三届工笔山水画展”；
2012年作品《净土》入选中国美协主办的“2012吴冠中艺术馆开馆暨全国中国画作品展”；
2012年作品《暮归》入选中国美协主办的“美丽家园·魅力新疆”第七届中国西部大地情——中国画、油画作品展。[1]2011年作品《绪》参加“世界园艺博览会美术作品展”（西安），并出版作品集，作品被主办方收藏；
2011年作品《海风轻轻》入选中国国家画院师生优秀作品展，并出版作品集；
2010年作品《馨气》、《兰》入选中国国家画院名家工作室作品展，并出版作品集；
2010年由岭南美术出版社出版《当代艺术家丛书—邱楚莲中国画作品集》；
2008年，作品《伙伴》、《春风动春心》《大展宏图》发表于《中国美术家》奥运特刊；
2006年，作品《山花灿漫》参加第四届国际潮青书画作品邀请展；
2005年5月，作品《百佛图》荣获“小康中国——中国书画摄影作品展”一等奖；
2002年8月，作品《高山流水》入选“长江魂”全国书画艺术大奖赛，并获铜奖；
2001年7月，作品《江流天地外》荣获“第六届海内外中国书画大赛暨精品展”铜奖；
2000年元月，在广东汕头展览馆举办了“邱楚莲画展”。
