王宏，女，1956年生于甘肃高台县。1983年毕业于西安美术学院国画系，师承刘文西、李宝林老师。现为甘肃画院专职画家，国家一级美术师，中国美术家协会会员，中国中央民建文化委员会委员，民建中央画院艺术委员会副主任，北京师范大学人物画高研班导师，甘肃省政府文史研究馆馆员。
王宏绘画风格具有象征性、寓意性和独特的形式感，画风雄健，格调高雅，笔墨生动，浑厚大气。作品曾参加过第二届全国青年美展，第三届全国书籍装祯艺术展，纪念“5·23”讲话50周年全国美展，第三届全国体育美展，首届中国画展，第八届全国美展，纪念“5·23”讲话60周年全国美展，“西部辉煌”全国中国画作品提名展，第五届全国工笔画展，全国当代花鸟画展，第二届全国人物画展。以及参加过在美国、澳大利亚、日本、新家坡等国家及台湾举办的美术作品展，并在国内多次举办个展和联展。
王宏绘画作品在《美术》、《美术观察》、《国画家》等国家级专业刊物上有专版介绍。并在国际美展、全国美展、省级美展中多次获奖。有多幅作品被美术馆、博物馆收藏。其代表作品载入《20世纪女艺术家美术作品集》、《当代中国工笔画卷》、《今日美术》、英文版《中国当代美术》及线装书局《中国当代书画名家》（人物卷）等大型文献性画册。出版有《王宏画选》、《王宏画集》等个人作品专集。
