著名书画家。男，汉族，1939年1月9日生，山东平原县人。曾任泰山学院美术系主任，教授，中国美协会员，山东省美术教研会常委，省政协书画联谊画院画家，山东画院高级画师，泰安市美协副主席，泰山国画研究院艺术顾问。
????现为中国美术家协会会员、山东美术教研会常委、山东画院高级画师、山东省政协书画联谊画院高级画师、泰安市美协名誉主席、泰安市政协书画联谊会副会长。
????1957年考入山东师范学院艺术专修科，
????1958年院校合并为山东艺术专科学校，
????1962年毕业于山东艺专美术系国画专业。在校期间深得于希宁、关友声、黑伯龙、张鹤云诸先生指教，并得到学校重点培养，
????于1959年8月被选派到浙江美术学院借读深造，受到赵延年、秦胜洲先生教诲且有机会瞵听潘天寿先生赐教，受益匪浅。
????1962年毕业于山东艺术专科学校美术系国画专业，被分配至山东莱芜师范任教。1975年调入山东泰安师范专科学校参与筹建美术系，先后担任美术系副主任、主任、教授。
????创作特色
????尤为擅长国画山水，同时在花鸟、美术理论等方面也有一定造诣。艺术风格浑厚中见奇秀，笔墨苍劲有力，清爽明净，用线讲究穿插交错疏密有致，用墨注重黑白对照干湿结合，焦墨浓墨相间配以大片泼墨破墨以显气韵、动感。构图稳中有险，求层次与气势表现。多年来创作了大量优秀作品，其中百余件作品出版发表并获奖。
????作品多次参加国内外画展并获奖。山东美术出版社为其出版了《黄墨林山水画集》。同时，在理论方面也有较深研究，有《点，奇妙的绘画符号--谈山水画中“点”的运用》、《山清水秀绘心灵-山水画漫谈》等理论文章先后出版发表于《齐鲁艺苑》等学术刊物。个人传略被收入《中国美术年鉴》、《中国现代美术家人名大辞典》等多部辞书。
