罗保根，江西新余人，现为中国美术家协会会员、中国版画家协会会员、中国美术家协会藏书票艺委会会员、中国煤矿美术家协会版画艺委会主任、江西省煤矿美术家协会主席、江西省版画家协会常务理事、新余市美术家协会副主席、国家二级美术师；现任江西花鼓山煤业公司工会副主席。
作品入选第九、十届全国美术作品大展、第五届全国体育美展、第十九届全国版画作品展、首届中国美术家协会会员版画精品展、2010民族百花奖全国美展、21世纪首届中国黑白木刻展等国内外重要展览。先后60余次获全国美展和专业画种全国展、江西省美展、全国职工美展、全国煤矿美展、全国藏书票大展金、银、铜、佳作、优秀奖。三千余件版画作品和大量藏书票为中国美术馆、中国神州版画博物馆等知名艺术馆、图书馆、国内外收藏机构和个人收藏。2013年3月在中国·观澜版画基地举办罗保根黑白木刻展。2010年五月人民日报发表《古镇系列》作品并专栏介绍。历任江西省版画展评委，曾获庆祝建国60周年国家级艺术类大奖和全国文艺创作德艺双馨奖项。其名录辑入《中国现代美术大系》及海内外数十部艺术辞书，出版有《罗保根版画选集》、《罗保根版画》。
