王玲，1956年8月生于中国广州，河北省定州人。1976年毕业于天津艺术学院附中，1978年考入天津美术学院绘画系，版画专业，82年毕业。1982——2011年供职于天津人民出版社，任美术编辑，美术编辑室主任，从事设计、编辑室管理、担任图书设计二、三审工作。美术编审。中国美术家协会会员。
曾任《中国出版政府奖》项（装帧设计奖）天津地区评委、第五届全国书籍装帧展览暨评奖，天津地区评委、第七、八届天津市优秀图书评奖初评委。曾任天津市装帧艺术委员会副主任。
现任天津市美术家协会装帧艺术委员会副主任。
