1955年入伍,国家一级美术师,中国美术家协会会员，中国版画家协会会员，中国藏书票研究会理事。

1990年获中国版画家协会颁发的80-90年代优秀版画家“鲁迅版画奖”。上世纪50年代是战士画家“郎卓红”三人创作小组成员。

1960年出席全国文教群英会和全国第三届文代会并做典型发言，同年被选为全国美协理事。

1985年进修于中央美术学院并开始从事专业创作。1985年版画代表作《热流》获全军优秀作品奖。

1992年版画《一只飞翔的鸟》参加海军第五届万里海疆画展获优秀作品奖，1999年版画《赤道晚霞》入选全国第九届美展。

1990年参加中国藏书票研究会举办的“第三届中国藏书票展”，展出作品12幅，获金奖。

1995年开始转入油画创作，1997年油画静物《瓜叶菊》参加“第二届中国静物油画展”。

2003年《中国油画》第五期专题介绍其油画作品，发表6幅油画，一篇文章，同年12月《美术》杂志发表18幅油画，邵大箴先生撰文进行专题介绍。

 1994年由辽宁美术出版社出版《冉茂魁藏书票集》，1999年跨世纪中国美术家协会会员.精品画库出版油画作品《花》专集，次年出版《海》专集。

 Ran Maokui (1936.6-2004.11), also known as Lang Zhuohong, a native of Haicheng, Liaoning Province, joined the army in 1955. He is a national first-class artist, a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a member of the Chinese Print Artists Association, and a member of the Chinese Book Ticket Research Association.

In 1960, he attended the National Association of Culture and Education and the Third National Congress of Literature and Education and made typical speeches. In the same year, he was elected as the director of the National Association of American Arts.

In 1985, he studied in the Central Academy of Fine Arts and began to engage in professional creation. In 1985, the representative printmaking work "Heat Flow" won the Army's Outstanding Works Award.

In 1992, the printmaking "A Flying Bird" won the award for excellent works at the fifth Navy's Wanli Sea Frontier Painting Exhibition. In 1999, the printmaking "Equatorial Sunset" was selected as the Ninth National Art exhibition.

In 1990, he participated in the Third China Book Ticket Exhibition held by the China Book Ticket Research Association, exhibiting 12 works and winning gold medals.

In 1995, he began to create oil paintings. In 1997, the still life of oil painting "Guayeju" participated in the "Second China Still Life Oil Painting Exhibition".

In 2003, the fifth issue of "Chinese Oil Painting" introduced its oil paintings, published 6 oil paintings and an article. In December of the same year, 18 oil paintings were published in "Art" magazine. Mr. Shao Dazhu wrote a special introduction.

In 1994, Liaoning Fine Arts Publishing House published Ran Maokui Collection of Books and Tickets. In 1999, members of the cross-century Chinese Artists Association. The fine art gallery published a special collection of oil painting "Flowers" and the next year published a special collection of "Sea".
