王笃纯，生于1932年10月。乐清黄杨木雕世家“王家木雕”的第二代传承人，于其身为一代黄杨木雕宗师的父亲王凤祚一样他的一生亦是与黄杨木雕艺术的发展和创新紧密的联系在一起。当个岁月走过，留下的是木之神灵，也是人间的一块美玉。王笃纯的人和作品都在潜移默化的影响着身边的人，这是自然的结合，也是心底最纯真的表现。就像个赠人玫瑰，在他的手中和心中，我们感受到的既有木艺的芬芳，也有人间的影子。
王笃纯善于表现女性形象，代表作“默想仕女”、“唐女”、“回娘家”等，体现了风姿艳逸，娇憨可掬的女性美。观赏他的作品，多少能感悟到古代仕女婀娜多姿的娟丽韵味。同时，王笃纯还善于雕鹅。鹅的各种姿态，或叫喊、或觅食、或拍翅、或跳水，都表现得十分传神。
王笃纯的作品有《捉迷藏》、《水乡即景》、《两岸同根》、《快乐》、《乡音》等。
1997年集体首创国内最大型黄杨木拼雕群像《小刀会》，长2.4米，高0.85，深0.6米，共刻大小人物278个，战马5匹，配以城墙、古塔、桥梁、房屋等景物，历时16个月，作品被上海市龙华烈士纪念馆收藏并展出。　1953年在中央美院华东分院学习期间创作的“捉迷藏”选送莫斯科展览，发表于苏联《火星画报》，作品被上海博物馆收藏。“庆丰收”陈列于北京人民大会堂浙江厅。1998年《乡音》获首届中国国际民间艺术博览会金奖，作品被乐清市文物馆收藏；2000年的《高原之歌》获杭州西博会金奖。2000年的《江南之春》获杭博会第五届中国工艺美术大师作品暨工艺美术精品博览会银奖。1996年12月《创造·在继承中发展》一文，入选浙江省民间艺术研究会年会暨民间艺术新论点发布会，获优秀论文奖。
