胡冰，1970年生于西安市，1990年毕业于西安美术学院附中，1995年毕业于西安美院雕塑系，获艺术学学士学位，同年供职在陕西省雕塑院，中共党员，国家三级美术师，中国雕塑学会会员，陕西省美术家学会会员，全国城雕资格证获得者，2004年共青团陕西省省委授予“陕西省青年突击手”荣誉称号。
1999年设计制作的《八极元和》经国务院办公厅、省政府选定为迎澳门回归，陕西省人民政府赠送的礼品雕塑，在中央电视台播出，受到省长的好评，获陕西省政府表彰的先进个人。
同年，作品《飞跃》、《升腾》参加陕西省雕塑作品展。
2001年，作品《萌》入选“新北京，新奥运”体育雕塑展，获公众艺术奖，被中国体育博物馆收藏。
同年，作品《冰上华尔兹》、《泥蛋》入选第五届中国体育美展。
2002年，作品《信息时代》入选全国“5.23”美展获金奖。并入选中国北京国际城市雕塑艺术展，获优秀作品奖，作品建树在北京奥林匹克文化广场。
同年，作品《五行—新语》入选中国北京，国际雕塑展，获提名奖。
2003年，作品《数星星》，入选长春国际雕塑展。
同年，作品《同质异构》，入选福州国际雕塑艺术优秀方案展
2004年作品《生之源》入选上海公共艺术、城市雕塑邀请展。
